Holly Willoughby makes shock revelation about Phillip Schofield: 'I owe him everything'

Holly, 36, took her place on the daytime TV show back in 2009 after Fern Britton stepped down as host.

The presenter has now revealed that it was Phil, 54, who put her name forward to be Fern’s replacement.

Speaking to iN10, Holly said: “There’s no way I would even have been considered for This Morning if it hadn’t been for Phil.

“I know for a fact that he was the one that mentioned me. He pushed for me to get the job in the first place.

“I totally owe him everything.”

Holly first worked with Phil in 2006 fronting ITV’s Dancing On Ice together and their on-screen chemistry has proven a consistent hit with viewers, winning them countless awards.

The duo made newspaper headlines last year when they presented This Morning in their outfits from the National Television Awards the night before, having stayed up all night partying.
