According to one Skyscanner survey, 20 per cent of fliers have joined the Mile High Club.
While many air passengers might question why some people would choose to do do so – also because it’s illegal – it actually turns out there are benefits to having sex on a plane.
As well as the risk factor playing an important part, there’s also some science behind it.
Susan Quilliam, sex and relationship agony aunt for Fabulous magazine, has revealed why getting frisky in the air can be so satisfying.
She said: “One of the great things about sex in the air is that it can safely affect the balance of oxygen to your brain – which can heighten sensation and make for a strong orgasm.
“Flying can sometimes lower the amount of oxygen in your blood stream and your brain – when safely achieved, this can make you feel even more aroused.
“The novelty and the excellent of sex in the air can also make for more excitement and an even better climax.”
According to another survey, the workplace is also a popular location for people to have sex.
While the office is often a public space, you might be surprised to learn what really goes on in the quiet corners.
Instead of ‘checking emails’ or ‘having a meeting’ it turns out one in ten of your co-workers could be having sex.
A survey by Yellow Octopus has revealed how much naughty behaviour really goes down at work.
It surveyed more than 1,000 people about their office secrets, and of the people surveyed, more than one in ten admit to having had sex with a co-worker, and four per cent said they’d done it with a non-employee.
And of those who got intimate around the office, 82 per cent said they’d had sexual intercourse, and around two-thirds of men, seemed fonder of oral sex than women.
The majority said they’d done the deed after office hours, but around a third revealed they’d managed to get away with it mid-workday.
Just 17 per cent said they’d had sex before office hours.
Sex traditionally takes place in the bedroom, but other common places people choose to get intimate have been revealed.
