Haley Bennett confirmed as Catwoman in Gotham City Sirens? Star gives MASSIVE hint

Following last year’s Suicide Squad, Robbie is setting to star in Gotham City Sirens alongside Poison Ivy and Catwoman.

While fans have thrown names around like Megan Fox, Odette Annable and Emma Stone for the other two Batman baddies, it looks like Catwoman has already been cast.

Bennett posted a picture of Catwoman from the comics, along with one of herself with a short hair cut – .

DC fans will know the feline villain’s alias as Selian Kyle, who sported the shorter look.

Bennett has recently shot to A-list fame after starring in Hollywood blockbusters The Girl on the Train and The Magnificent Seven last year.

The last actress to play Catwoman on the big screen was Anne Hathaway in 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises.

Before that the character had a brief flop with Halle Berry’s 2004 solo outing, which won her a Worst Actress award at The Golden Raspberries.

However it was Michelle Pfeiffer’s iconic role as Catwoman in 1992’s Batman Returns that is the incarnation fans look most fondly on.

Gotham City Sirens, which will be helmed by Suicide Suicide director David Ayer, sees Batman at the centre of the story – suggesting Ben Affleck’s Batman will return.

Once official cast announcements have been made, it’s expected that filming will start this summer.
