Grenfell Tower: Simon Cowell charity single IN PICTURES – Stars sing for fire victims

Featured singers on the track include Robbie Williams, Louisa Johnson, Liam Payne, Emeli Sande and Roger Daltrey of The Who.

It also opens with a poignant, purpose-written rap by Stormzy.

The stars assembled at a West London studio on Sunday and Monday to rush-prepare the song, with all proceeds being donated to the relief effort.

Theresa May has even waived VAT on sales of the digital download, so that all money raised can go straight to the cause.

The song can be downloaded on iTunes here.

It’s on Spotify as well – stream it here, but remember the money raised from a stream is significantly lower than from a 99p sale.

The full line-up is as follows: Angel, Anne-Marie, Bastille, Brian May – Queen, Carl Barât – The Libertines, Craig David, Deno, Donae’o, Dua Lipa, Ella Eyre, Ella Henderson, Emeli Sandé, Fleur East, Gareth Malone & The Choir for Grenfell, Geri Halliwell, Gregory Porter, James Arthur, James Blunt and Jessie J.

Also involved are Jessie Ware, John Newman, Jon McClure – Reverend and the Makers, Jorja Smith, Kelly Jones – Stereophonics, Labrinth, Leona Lewis, Liam Payne, London Community Gospel Choir, Louis Tomlinson, Louisa Johnson, Matt Goss, Matt Terry, Mr Eazi, Nathan Sykes, Nile Rodgers, Omar, Paloma Faith, Pixie Lott, Ray BLK, RAYE, Rita Ora, Robbie Williams, Shakka, Shane Filan, Stormzy, The Who (Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend), Tokio Myers, Tom Grennan, Tony Hadley, Tulisa and WSTRN.

“As well as buying the single, we hope people can support those affected by the Grenfell fire by donating,” Cowell tweeted last night.

“Thank you to everyone for their help and support in making this happen.”

The music video for the song will premiere on ITV tonight, shortly before Coronation Street at 7:30pm.
