Grenfell Tower fire: Simon Cowell charity single is ‘EMOTIONAL’

Simon Cowell has helmed the project, bringing together a huge number of famous faces – from The Who’s Roger Daltry to Tulisa.

Sande said the process was “emotional”.

“It’s a hard time not to feel quite helpless, I’m just happy I could give my voice and my passion,” she said.

“It was quite emotional. When I listen to the song it reminds me just how powerful music and lyrics can be.”

“It’s going to be very powerful, I hope we can bring people together with one song.

“I feel so lucky to be able to make music, it’s rare to live your passion, I just wish I could do more.

“I hope it shows the power of community and the strength of people.

“That is the beauty of London, the integration makes it so incredible.”

Cowell said on Good Morning Britain today that the song has given him “chills”, saying it’s “unbelievable”.

Bridge Over Troubled Water will be released tomorrow, with Theresa May agreeing to waive VAT.

Other stars on board include Rita Ora, Leona Lewis, Paloma Faith, Kelly Jones, James Blunt, Gregory Porter, Pixie Lott, Louisa Johnson, Matt Terry, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Geri Halliwell among many others.
