Gorgeous Underwater Photos of Flowers Gone Wild

Fall is here, but we still have one foot in spring (like, can we do Halloween and then nothing again until mid 2018?). We recently discovered Anne Ten Donkelaar’s Underwater Ballet series on Trendland, which combines a few of our favorite things: flowers and strange stuff found in nature, underwater photography, a muted palette, and the essence of ballet. The artist collects items, experiments with them in the water, and these magical photos are born. We love how wild the flowers and organic matter appears in her images — taking the shape of some colorful primordial beast. Take a closer look in our gallery.
