Gordon Ramsay net worth: Can you guess the fortune of the chef and TV star?

Ramsay, 50, opened his first restaurant in Chelsea, London in 1998 and went on to become the first Scotsman to win three Michelin stars.

He was awarded the O.B.E in the 2006 New Year’s Honours List for services to the culinary arts.

But it is not just behind the scenes where the fiery chef has built a reputation.

He has starred and produced in a countless TV shows, including MasterChef, Kitchen Nightmares and Hell’s Kitchen.

All of this has allowed him to amass a considerable fortune, and according to CelebrityNetWorth.com, he is worth over £124million ($ 160million).

Forbes note he earned £46million ($ 60million) in 2017 alone (up to June 2017).

This comes from his show The F Word airing in the US in May, and another of his programmes, Culinary Genius, getting a lucrative syndication deal in America.

He ranks 26th on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list for 2017.

Away from work, Ramsay is married and has four children.

He lives in south-west London and also owns a home in Cornwall, facing controversy for his plans to knock down a 1920s house to build a new mansion.

He also shocked food fans after revealing he never eats plane food despite being a frequent flyer.

The TV chef has clocked a staggering 3.4 million air miles due to his extensive plane travel, but he’d rather go hungry sky-high.

He told Refinery29: “There’s no f****** way I eat on planes.

“I worked for airlines for ten years, so I know where this food’s been and where it goes, and how long it took before it got on board.”

The 50-year-old has enough air miles to fly around the equator 136 times without paying a penny.

But he’ll always be sure to fill up on food at the airport before boarding.
