Reflecting on the meeting, they showed a behind-the-scenes clip of the presenters shaking hands and chatting to the Prince of Wales and Camilla.
But Alex Beresford confessed that when it came to his turn to meet the couple, he was “turned down” in a moment of confusion.
“Who went the most posh Susanna Reid?” host Ben Shepard asked, as they replayed the footage for viewers at home.
Susanna replied: “Well I think I do quite a deep curtsy there.”
“You do a lovely curtsy,” Kate Garraway commented.
“Mine is sort of a half bob confusion. Someone said you can nod your head or you can bob.”
Susanna laughed: “It’s like a dip isn’t it?”
Moving on to their co-host Charlotte Hawkins, Ben noted: “Look at the grace and poise.”
But Kate wasn’t convinced, quipping: “He’s making a break for it. She didn’t bob! He’s like, I’m out of here.
“And Richard Arnold’s was hilarious wasn’t he?”
“Oh, we’ve missed out Richard and gone straight to Alex,” Susanna commented.
Alex, 37, then admitted he was left a little red-faced by his introduction to Prince Charles.
He explained: “I went three times with the handshake, I wasn’t quite ready.
“He was talking to Louise there and then I thought he came to me and then he didn’t come to me and yeah.”
Ben giggled: “So he turned you down three times?”
“Yeah, three times,” Alex sighed, before quickly adding: “He was lovely though.”
