Dustin Johnson’s chances in The Masters 2017 has been cast under doubt after the golf ace injured his back from a serious fall down the stairs, which Ben, 42, seemingly found hilarious.
As Charlotte, 41, informed viewers of the sad news, Ben giggled away when his smart phone blasted out and sent his co-host into hysterics while trying to deliver the not-so hysterical update on Dustin’s health.
Having to explain herself to viewers, Charlotte chuckled: “I’m laughing because you’re having a conversation with your phone!”
“Well, Siri backed you up,” he teased. “I just checked if my bet on Dustin Johnson was still valid. It is.”
Charlotte chipped in: “All we know is it’s a serious fall. He landed very hard on his lower back.”
“Injuring your back is hard days,” sighed Ben.
Though, one viewer failed to see the funny side and vented on Twitter: “@GMB yeah really funny, the guy fell and your staff laugh. Very professional to have Siri going off during a news story. #knobsmin.”
Also on today’s instalment of GMB, 105-year-old grandfather Jack Reynolds celebrated his birthday by breaking the Guinness World Record for being the oldest man to ride a roller-coaster.
Viewers were more than concerned for the birthday boy while even Dr. Hilary Jones warned Jack that the station may increase his blood pressure and increase his heart rate.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
