Like usual, a Games with Gold September shuffle is set to land, changing what is available to download.
September 16 will see the likes of Trials Fusion replaced with Oxenfree on Xbox One.
Oxenfree description: “In this award-winning teen supernatural thriller, you accidentally open a ghostly portal during an overnight party, releasing unknown paranormal forces.
“Using an innovative speech bubble system to control the flow of the story as you move around, you must work with the others in your group to figure out what the forces are and how to stop them. Which of the possible endings will you experience?”
There will also see a shuffle when it comes to the Xbox 360 games available too.
Hydro Thunder Hurricane is being replaced on the same day with Battlefield 3, the popular shooter from EA.
Battlefield 3 description: “Get ready for truly awesome combat in Battlefield 3. Using Dice’s amazing Frostbite 2 engine, take advantage of the destructible world around you as you battle your enemies in heart-pounding action.
“Dynamic audio and extremely lifelike character animation add to the realism of the single-player missions and the multiplayer online battles in locations from Europe to the Middle East and North America.”
The best part of this is that Battlefield 3 is playable on Xbox One due to Backwards Compatibility, adding another free game to your library.
The other Games with Gold September titles will not be affected, with Forza Motorsport 5: Racing Game of the Year Edition, available until the end of the month.
The remaining Games with Gold titles following the monthly refresh:
- Forza Motorsport 5: Racing Game of the Year Edition: Available September 1 to 30 on Xbox One
- Oxenfree Available September 16 to October 15 on Xbox One
- Battlefield 3: Available September 16 to 30 on Xbox One and Xbox 360
It should also be noted that another free trial is available this weekend as part of existing Xbox Live Gold accounts memberships.
Dead by Daylight will be free to play all weekend long to anyone who is interested in trying to outlast a killer’s rampage.
The online horror title is available to download now and will be available to play until Sunday, September 17.
It will take around 10GBs to download and is also available for a discounted price during the weekend freeplay event.
“Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured and killed.
“Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness. The Killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey.
“The Survivors’ goal in each encounter is to escape the Killing Ground without getting caught by the Killer – something that sounds easier than it is, especially when the environment changes every time you play.”
