Game of Thrones season eight will no doubt see the White Walkers in a huge battle as they try to invade Westeros.
Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) and his new lover Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) have promised to fight against the army of the dead.
While Jon is a skilled fighter, Daenerys has her dragons as protection. However, one character who has little protection or fighting skills is Sansa (Sophie Turner) leading many to believe she may perish.
But it seems she may have a secret weapon, which will protect her from the Night King (Vladimir Furdik) after all.
Reddit user beastboi27 noted they believed her new costume in the latest character posters to be released appeared to be covered in dragon glass, which kills wights.
“Everyone thinks that they are just scales,” they wrote on the fan forum.
“The second I looked at it, I knew it was pieces of dragon glass embedded throughout the dress, used as a type of armour.”
They went on to point out actress Sophie has previously spoken about having “special armour” for the final series.
“What better armour then dragon glass?” the fan suggested.
“I wonder if Sansa is the one who thought of that, or Dany offered it to her as a gift of goodwill, for her protection.
“Dany seems to be the one with the very intricate outfits, so it would make sense she would have something like Sansa’s dress made.”
They later theorised Sansa would be able to deter White Walkers from approaching her with her gown or even kill them if they got too close.
“I would love for Sansa to have one epic scene, where she shocks everyone and saves someone much stronger then her from a WW..like Arya perhaps,” they concluded.
It’s certainly an interesting theory and one which would take many viewers by surprise as well as giving Sansa a bigger role in the battle.
Meanwhile, ahead of the final series former star of the show Tom Hopper, who played Dickon Tarly, has revealed who he would like to see on the Iron Throne.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, he said: “I would say Sam! Sam would be the most interesting one to see on the throne.”
He went on to speak about his friendship with Samwell Tarly star John Bradley, who played his onscreen brother.
“I love John as well,” he explained. “John is a very good friend of mine – which is hilarious because we knew each other before I got the gig.
“And then I was like: ‘Mate! I’m playing your brother!’ But then we never got to work together.”
Game of Thrones season 8 returns April 14 on HBO in the US, and the next day on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
