Production ihas been rumbling on for Game of Thrones and now it seems that a big spoiler may have just been let out of the bag.
According to fan accounts published on Winter Is Coming, it’s all been go at Moneyglass in Northern Island.
Winterfell’s expansive set is located there and fans have been on the perimeter desperate for any glimpse of the action.
Those who were there last night were treat to what appears to be a huge battle scene.
Pictures taken by Oakleaf Photography show the set surrounded in smoke and steam.
Dramatic lighting surrounds the expanse of turrets which appears on face-value to look like fire.
The picture company tweeted their exclusive images along with the following caption: “Big night of filming for #GOT8 tonight 26/1 at the Winterfell Set Moneyglass N.Ireland 200+ extras in a big battle scene.
“This was awesome to see tonight,” they teased.
What’s more, a small video has emerged from the night’s filming and contains a rather intriguing sound.
Deep, inaudible chanting can be heard from the set which appears to hint that the team are dealing with an army of the living, not the dead.
However, with the White Walkers definitely on their way to the Northern lands following the collapse of The Wall, it seems a safe bet to suggest the humans are fighting any group other than the Night King’s (played by Vladimir Furdik) army.
Or will The Unsullied make a shock arrival at Winterfell to save The North from the incoming threat?
