WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Game of Thrones season 7.
Game of Thrones fans have been waiting almost two years for the first episode of season eight.
With less than two weeks to go until the Game of Thrones season eight premiere, Sky and HBO have released a series of pictures from the first episode.
Episode one’s first look pictures feature a number of Game of Thrones regulars, as well as some new additions to the cast.
Starting with Jon Snow, we see the King in the North in several episode one images.
Jon Snow can be seen riding on horseback through Winterfell in the freezing cold snowy scenery fans have become accustomed to seeing.
In a number of the Game of Thrones season eight pictures, Jon Snow is accompanied by Daenerys Targaryen.
Daenerys and Jon Snow had plotted together in the season seven finale to travel north for the imminent battle against the White Walkers.
Daenerys can be seen wearing a long, white fur coat as she battles against the plummeting temperatures.
Clarke’s character is pictured both inside and outside the walls of Winterfell.
Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) can be seen by Daenerys’ side in some of the first look pictures from Game of Thrones season eight, episode one.
Ser Davos (Liam Cunningham) also made the trip back up to Winterfell alongside Jon, Daenerys, and Jorah.
Game of Thrones fans have already seen Daenerys meet with Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) thanks to a promo courtesy of HBO.
While Sansa and Daenerys aren’t pictured together in the first images, they are both in Winterfell.
Sansa, who has been guarding the north in Jon Snow’s absence in season seven, is shown alongside the residents and families of the north as they await Jon and Daenerys’ arrival.
Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) can be seen behind Sansa in the Winterfell pictures.
Only two members of the Lannister family are shown in the Game of Thrones episode one pictures.
Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) has maintained his role as Hand to the Queen in season eight.
The Game of Thrones fan favourite is also depicted in Winterfell having followed Daenerys on her journey to the north.
Tyrion has adopted long curly, blonde locks and a rugged beard for his appearance in the final series of Game of Thrones.
Tyrion’s sister Cersei (Lena Headey) remains in King’s Landing in the first look pictures after betraying Jon and Daenerys in the finale of season seven.
Jon and Daenerys were left under the impression Cersei would join them in the fight against the dead, but Cersei had other ideas.
Cersei remains sat upon the Iron Throne in the episode one pictures, with trusty servant Qyburn (Anton Lesser) by her side.
However, her brother-turned-lover Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is nowhere to be seen in the first pictures released by HBO and Sky.
Game of Thrones season 8 premieres on HBO in the USA on Sunday, April 14, and on Sky Atlantic in the UK on Monday, April 15.
