Game of Thrones season 8: Cast will film ‘MULTIPLE' finale endings to avoid leaks

After the penultimate season was plagued with spoilers, the HBO fantasy epic will allegedly shoot multiple versions of the big finale.

HBO president Casey Bloys has claimed the producers David Benioff and D.B.Weiss came up with the clever plan in a bid to prevent anyone from knowing the show’s climax.

In a recent chat with Pennsylvania’s Morning Call, Casey said: “I know in Game of Thrones, the ending, they’re going to shoot multiple versions so that nobody really know what happens.

“You have to do that on a long show. Because when you’re shooting something, people know. So they’re going to shoot multiple versions so that there’s no real definitive answer until the end.”

This means even the main stars of the show including Kit Harington (who plays Jon Snow), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) will also be kept out of the loop.

It is still unknown when the final season will air but production is expected sooner rather than later as the producers have already completed the scripts.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, filming will begin in October and could continue as late as August 2018 which means the season will hit screens in 2019.

The HBO President told the publication: “Our production people are trying to figure out a timeline for the shoot and how much time the special effects take.”

It comes after fans of the long-running show believe they have figured out the Night King’s plans.

One Reddit user believes the leader of the White Walkers is aiming to go to the Riverland and seek out God’s Eye, the biggest lake in the Seven Kingdoms where the pact between the Night King and the First Men was signed.

The user wrote: “Ultimately I think his end goal is to reach the Isles of Faces and use its magical properties to give life to his undead army.”

Game of Thrones season eight is expected to return to screens in 2019.
