Game of Thrones season 7: Fans spot HUGE clue about Sansa Stark's future in episode one

The HBO show came back with a bang on Sunday night with some viewers hailing the opening scene as the “best ever”.

And Sansa (Sophie Turner) certainly made her voice heard in the instalment as she publicly defied her brother Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and began to question his ability to rule as King in the North.

Making it clear she is a force to be reckoned with, the Lady of Winterfell told Jon to focus on the war with Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).

She told her sibling: ”You’re the military man, but I know her. If you’re her enemy, she’ll never stop until she’s destroyed you. Everyone who’s ever crossed her she’s found a way to murder.”

“You almost sound as if you admire her,” Jon replied.

Sansa responded: “I learned a great deal from her.”

After praising the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, viewers noticed Sansa had paid tribute to her in an even bigger way during the episode by sporting the same hairstyle which Cersei had before it was shaved off.

Taking to Twitter, one fan said: “Sansa ‘admires’ Cersei’s murderous, unforgiving, determined momentum….and her hair stylist’s skills.”

“Sansa certainly ‘admires’ Cersei. Sansa’s hair this season matches Cersei from season 3,” another person said.

One fan asked: “Is Sansa becoming the new Cersei with that hairdo? Or is there only one hairstylist in Westeros?”

And it appears her choice of hairstyle is certainly not random as Sophie, 21, once revealed the way Sansa wears her tresses is reflected by the people she’s learning from.

“It’s never random. There’s always a pattern. When she’s Cersei’s prisoner, and she’s kind of absorbing all her manipulative techniques, it’s reflected in her hairstyle,” she told Refinery.

The actress added: “Sansa’s hair is constantly reflecting the people she’s learning from, or mimicking, or inspired by at the time.”

Game of Thrones season seven episode two will air this Sunday and will be simulcast in the UK at 2am on Sky Atlantic. Catch up on season one to seven on NOW TV.
