Furious The One Show viewers SLAM 'f**king idiotic' show over 'appalling' Brexit segment

Britain’s decision to leave the European Union may have been compared to a divorce on numerous occasions, but The One Show viewers were less than impressed as Matt Baker and Angela Scanlon introduced a rather bizarre segment this evening.

Angela explained: “As the process of arguing over every single detail begins, we asked three couples who have been through their own separation to reflect on how best to pull apart.”

As the couples went on to describe how their marriages had collapsed and how they had ended up cheating on one another despite having a “perfect relationship” up until then, fans of the BBC show took to Twitter in their droves to slam the “unbelievable” comparison.

One person raged: “Watching the One Show just now. The idiots are showing divorced couples to explain #brexit to us. Idiot level @BBC stuff.”

“You can’t compare Brexit to divorce that’s just stupid #TheOneShow,” a second blasted.

While a third moaned: “Really, the one show, comparing marriage to Brexit, appalling! #oneshowrubbish.”

A further social networker went on: “Geezer cheats on his wife after four years. The one show comparing it to Brexit! #unbelieveable.”

“#theoneshow have hit new levels of utter b******s tonight by asking #brexit advice from divorced couples! F**king idiotic,” a different person blasted.

Yet another viewer slammed: “Yeah #TheOneShow Brexit is EXACTLY like a marriage breaking up *mutter* f**king idiots.”

“What’s this p**s on @BBCTheOneShow, Jeezo! Who thinks this c**p up? #Brexit #Divorce #TheOneShow,” a different social media user yelled.

The One Show continues tomorrow at 7pm on BBC One.
