Fortnite UPDATE: Next patch looks to be the BIGGEST so far in season 7

Battle Royale players are getting ready for the release of update 7.20.

The Fortnite download is the biggest patch release since before Christmas and could be the most significant update to launch in season 7 so far.

In a series of tweets Fortnite fans were teased about what’s coming in Fortnite update 7.20.

Sean Hamilton, a community co-ordinator for Epic Games, posted about what fans have in store with Fortnite update 7.20.

Hamilton said a number of fixes were on the horizon that would address biplane issues, a bug with one weekly challenge and a glider deploy issue.

Hamilton also said there would be improvements on ghost shots and edit delays while an issue on the Nintendo Switch where music cut out would be addressed.

Fans are also hoping the Driftboard, which had been pencilled in for a release date before Christmas, will arrive in Fortnite update 7.20.

It’s also possible that the Infinity Blade – which was removed due to balance issues – could be re-added to Fortnite.

Fortnite updates typically launch on a Tuesday but it could be that patch 7.20 gets a release on Wednesday January 16.

According to a post by Fortnite Intel, update 7.20 could be out on either Tuesday January 15 or Wednesday January 16.

The last Fortnite patch was the third and final content update for 7.10, released earlier this week.

The headline addition was the brand new suppressed sniper rifle.

In patch notes Epic Games said: “Trade power for stealth with the Suppressed Sniper Rifle. Drop in now and sneak up on your enemies!”

The DM Arena was also added to The Block while the 14 Days of Fortnite also made a return.

Epic Games said: “14 Days of Fortnite has been extended for a limited time! For the next week, drop in and complete any Challenges you may have missed out on to earn in-game rewards.

“We’ll also be featuring some of the most popular Limited Time Modes that have been available over the past two weeks. Log in each day to find out which modes are available to explore.”
