The development team have been dropping hints all week on what would be coming next to their hit Battle Royale game.
There’s already a list of bugfixes which are ready to be deployed in the next big release for the game.
Fortnite Update 3.5 will be released in the morning in both the UK and US, with no downtime currently listed.
This should mean that the new Fortnite update is live by around 9am, BST, or 4am EST in the United States.
Epic Games usually confirm whether a patch will mean the game going offline, so it will be worth keeping an eye out just in case.
And while there’s no downtime currently listed, the development team have warned that this patch will have a big download size on PS4 and Xbox One.
“We’ll be releasing the v3.5 update tomorrow at 4am ET (08:00 GMT),” a message from Epic Games reads.
“In order to improve future stability, console players should expect a larger than normal patch size.”
No exact size has been given, but if it is a patch that’s replacing existing files, it could be close to the current size of the game.
When it comes to new content and fixes for annoying glitches, Epic Games have provided a first look.
In term of bugfixes, these include things like floating weapons being unable to shoot or reload, as well as other problems like being unable to build, or edit structures.
It appears that all these fixes will be included in today’s Fortnite update, as well as new content to try out.
Epic Games has announced a new portable fort item (Port-A-Fort), which lets you fortify your position within seconds.
“A portable fort… it’s Port-a-Fort! Fortify yourself in seconds, all with the flick of a wrist. COMING SOON!” reads an Epic tweet.
The announcement trailer shows one player using the portable fort to survive a double team attack.
The fort builds around the player in seconds, providing cover from fire and higher ground.
The item will be welcomed by new players who struggle to build adequate defences in the middle of a gun fight.
It also appears that Epic Games will provide a new change to how traps work when playing in teams.
A recent conversation with Community Coordinator Chris Attalus on Reddit suggests that Traps will soon show up differently if they have been set by a friendly player.
Attalus has also confirmed new Guided Missile changes are on the way, writing: “We want to provide items that can allow for many different playstyles and tactical play, all within the thematic world of Fortnite.
“We’re going to continue to iterate on the game and add new items, with the hope that we continue to create fun, new gameplay experiences.
“As for the Guided Missile, lots of the feedback has been valid and you will see adjustments made in the v3.5 patch tomorrow.”
