The new Halloween skins can be found in the Fortnite shop
UPDATE ONE: The Fortnite item shop has been updated with brand new skins and cosmetic item, tailored made for October.
Fans can now buy the new Straw Stuffed Gear, which includes some pretty spooky new designs.
The first of many new Halloween skins expected to be added over the coming weeks, The Hay Man and Straw Ops skins can now be bought for 1,500 V-Bucks each.
There is also the new Field Wraith Glider, which could prove more popular than the new design released today, retailing at 1,200 V-Bucks.
Completing the set is the Harvester tool, another item that will no doubt prove very popular with Halloween costume fans.
It won’t be long before the Fortnite shop is updated by Epic Games with the latest cosmetics and designs.
Brand new skins are usually launched on Sunday mornings, and there is no reason to believe that this one will be any different.
There is plenty of new season 6 skin to choose from, with a horde of new outfits having been leaked earlier this month.
New designs and outfits are expected to be part of today Fortnite shop update (October 7), some of them you might have already seen.
The new Fortnite shop update will include recently leaked skins
Data miners have provided plenty of information on what new cosmetics Epic Games have been dreaming up, all of which are expected to launch over the coming weeks.
One of these new designs could be part of today’s release, although there’s probably a few we don’t know about yet.
It’s almost impossible to say which of the new Fortnite season 6 skins will be part of the shop update, with no hints pointing to what could be included.
We can rule out the Heidi outfit (Epic) and Ludwig outfit (Epic), as they’ve already been released.
New Halloween items will be added to the game
Last weekend saw the debut of the Airheart outfit (Rare), which came with an assortment of add-ons.
There’s been plenty of new Halloween items added to the game files of late. Although these will probably be released closer to the holiday.
There’s a couple of sturdy looking robot designs which might be the next skins to debut.
Two Epic Buddies collated all of the skins and Battle Pass rewards leaked earlier this week and put them into one handy image.
The image – which can be seen below – features all manner of new items, skins and emotes.
A second image showcases some of the pets, colour variations, evolved characters and even a mystery character.
The Fortnite season 6 skins leaked earlier this month
We don’t expect all of these new items to pop over the next few days as many of these designs are set to be released during the season.
And for those who aren’t planning on hitting the shop today, or buying a battle pass, you don’t have to worry about missing out on any in-game rewards.
As the development team notes whenever selling cosmetic items, this new gear will not provide any kind of bonus during a Battle Royale game.
They are purely cosmetic, so fans shouldn’t worry about spending cash in Fortnite unless they want to earn or buy new gear for their character.
The Tier 100 items will be the ones everyone will want to get their hands on, although that will take some dedication when it comes to completing weekly challenges.
The challenges are separated into hard and regular tiers of difficulty.
The hard difficulty Fortnite challenges net players ten Battle Stars, while the regular tasks reward fans with five Battle Stars.
A special secret skin will also be released as part of the season 6 Hunting Party Challenge.
We’re only into week 2 of the battle pass, so we won’t find out what it is until nearer week 7 of season 6.
So fans can expect to hear more about it in November, with more surprises expected along the way.
Epic Games also look like they want to push hard on new Halloween content this year, so expect some major update on what they have planned soon.
This could be limited to skins, or might also include a big new event as we saw with High Stakes.
