Fans can now download a new set of season 5 skins, courtesy of the Fortnite Battle Royale team.
A recent season 5 leak revealed a host of new skins were being prepared for launch by Epic Games.
And the first of these new designs can now be found in the official Fortnite item Shop.
The legendary Magnus skin is now available to buy, costing a hefty 2,000 V-Bucks.
But while the new Viking look is sure to prove popular with those hoping to stock up on new season 5 skins, there’s another item that could be even more popular.
The Forebearer Axe has a definite Thor vibe going for it and has a smaller price tag attached.
For those interested in grabbing the new harvesting tool design, it will cost 800 V-Bucks, having not been ranked a legendary item.
These new Fortnite season 5 skins and Viking gear will be available over the next 48hrs before being replaced by more content from Epic Games.
As the development team notes whenever selling cosmetic items, this new gear will not provide any kind of bonus during a Battle Royale game.
They are purely cosmetic, so fans shouldn’t worry about spending cash in Fortnite unless they want to earn or buy new gear for their character.
And for those who have purchased the season 5 battle pass, it should be noted that other Viking items can be unlocked through that.
The Tier 100 items will be the ones everyone will want to get their hands on, although that will take some dedication when it comes to completing weekly challenges.
The challenges are separated into hard and regular tiers of difficulty.
The hard difficulty Fortnite challenges net players ten Battle Stars, while the regular tasks reward fans with five Battle Stars.
Unlocking Battle Stars levels up your Battle Pass, which is how you unlock all the rewards on offer.
Season 5 also features bonus challenges that will net players specific items. The Road Trip challenges are similar to Blockbuster challenges from Season 4.
The Road Trip tier rewards players with special loading screens for fully completing all weekly challenges. These loading screens feature hidden Battle Star clues.
Drift Challenges, meanwhile, reward players with different skins for earning XP. Earning enough XP to complete four out of five tiers unlocks a special Harvesting Tool.
