This week is going to see some big changes made to the Fortnite Battle Royale map.
Not only are we already seeing Epic Games make changes to locations, but they’re also about to launch a new season of battle pass loot too.
This will happen on Thursday, July 12, and is likely going to coincide with some more map tweaks.
The development team are also busy putting together items for the Fortnite shop.
Today has seen the return of some season 4 skins, including the Half Court Gear and Sunshine & Rainbow outfits.
Players can currently buy the Hang Time glider for 1,200 V-Bucks, the Jump Shot and Triple Threat skins for the same price and the Slam Dunk Harvesting Tool for 800.
Then there is the Brite Gunner outfit, Rainbow Smash Tool and Brite Bomber skin, also available to purchase from the shop.
Fortnite fans can also look forward to the release of the new Bring It emote, which lands before the start of Season 5.
Epic Games are also busy putting together some real-world events.
A new promotional stunt by the company is seeing some of the landmarks that have disappeared from the game, reappearing in the real world.
This includes parts of the map that have had rifts open up and change the landscape.
One such example is the Greasy Grove’s Durr Burger being found in the desert of Palmdale, California.
This seems to be sparking a min ARG event, with an “agent” found near the Durr Burger sign handing out a card with a phone number.
This leads to yet another clue which includes rift sounds being played and provides the coordinates of Greasy Grove.
So it seems a fair bet something is coming to that area of the map pretty soon.
In other news, reliable Fortnite leakers Two Epic Buddies have just posted a clip claiming to show the first footage new Wild West aspects for season 5.
The Fortnite map leaks have been piling up and providing fans with a better look at what’s coming next.
The in-depth look at Fortnite season 5 shows how the Battle Royale map will change when the new Battle Pass launches.
According to the footage, the points of interest on the Fortnite Battle Royale map will all stay in the same spots at the start of season 5.
However, the entire Fortnite season 5 map will be transformed into a dusty, sandy battlefield.
It’s known that Save the World mode is getting some Wild West themed content this week, so it’s unclear if this fits in with that update too.
Fortnite season 5 has a release date of Thursday, July 12 and will be out at 9am BST in the UK.
For other times zones, Fortnite season 5 will launch at 4am eastern time and 1am pacific time.
