Fortnite meteor strike on Tilted Towers coming soon to PS4 and Xbox One?

Unfortunately for those wanting a definite answer about Epic Games’ plans for the meteor, there doesn’t appear to be one out there right now.

No official line has been shared by the development team on the object spotted in the sky, and when it might hit the island.

As many PS4, Xbox One and PC fans will already know, the Fortnite Meteor has been spotted in the sky, found by dataminers in the game code, while Epic also appear to have added telescopes.

Add to that with the reports of the meteor, or comet as some people believe it to be, getting bigger, and therefore closer to the map.

It all appears to add up to the thing hitting the Fortnite map in the near future, but fans don’t know when that might happen, or what that change.

Some fans believe that the Fortnite Meteor is heading to Tilted Towers, one of the game’s most popular drop spots.

Why Epic Games would want to get rid of such a hot map location is anyone’s guess, although there’s plenty of fans who would like to see it removed.

Making for better player dispersion is something some fans would like to see in the future, which would probably mean dropping the Tilted Towers.

The other big rumour doing the rounds is that the game’s recent random controller vibrations discovered by players actually mean something.

According to those tracking them, it’s believed to be an Easter egg message in Morse Code.

This message apparently adds up to SOS D5 418, something with quite a bit of meaning for Fortnite players.

D5 is the location of the Tilted Towers, while the 4/18 could be referring to Wednesday, April 18.

That would mean that the Fortnite Meteor could be dropping today, although this is all based on what fans have found, and interpreted.

This could also be referring to April 2018, which is when Season 3 of the Fortnite Battle Pass is set to wrap up.

Could it be going out with a bang?

Fans have also found evidence for a crater site under the map where the Tilted Towers currently stand, and a new LTM mode has also been datamined.

This is reportedly called Impact and will only be available to players in solo play.

This all seems to add up to Epic Games making changes to Fortnite through a big meteor impact, so fans will want to keep an eye out for more clues.

It would make sense that Epic Games would want to do this big update near the end of the month, and for the beginning of Season 4.

However, there’s a chance that the development team have something planned that will drop on a surprise date and get everyone logging on to check it out.
