Fortnite DOWN: Server status news as “You do not have permission” error hits

Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite is down for gamers tonight across a range of platforms.

“We’re aware that players are experiencing issues when attempting to use Epic Games services,” a message from the support team reads.

“We’re currently working on a resolution and will keep you updated.”

Players are reporting being hit by an error telling them that they do not have permission to play Fortnite.

This includes not being able to get past the point where the game needs to check for entitlement to play.

However, it’s unclear what is behind tonight’s connectivity issues or how long they might last.

Epic Games have their own website which they use to keep fans informed of downtime and outages.

This currently states that Fortnite servers are suffering a major outage, along with Login and the Epic Games Store.

More is expected to be shared by the Fortnite support team in the coming hour if problems with servers continue.
