Sausage Sports Club gives you a suite of goofy-looking, sausage-like animals like corgis, flamingos, pigeons, and more, letting you play some fun games with them (and maybe seven other close friends) as you work your way through a sports-themed reality show. With some silly physics at work, though, you can expect this to be a lighthearted experience.
You know, if the hot-dog shaped animals didn’t give that away already.
Sausage Sports Club just wants you to have some fun playing sports with wonky physics, trying out soccer, capture the flag, and paintball with your floppy character. Each of these games have been redesigned with the loose controls in mind, aiming to offer some truly silly moments as you fight for the crown, offering laughs whether you win or lose. You don’t have to focus on competition if you don’t want to, either, as there are plenty of toys to interact with across the game’s overworld, letting you enjoy a little funny walk when you want to.
You can play the game alone in its adventure mode, working your way through a reality show filled with silly animal encounters, or you take up to eight players into one of the game’s spike-filled soccer fields and try to knock the ball around with your head. Whatever you do, you’ll steadily unlock more hats and skins, increasing your goofy menagerie and their looks along the way, making this game endlessly endearing with its grinning, charming cast of creatures.
Sausage Sports Club is available for $ 14.99 on Steam and the Nintendo eShop. For more information on the game and developer Chris Wade, you can head to the game’s site or follow them on YouTube and Twitter.
