Fit for a Duchess! Kate Middleton's mum Carole COPIES £4k McQueen dress for Wimbledon

Kate’s dress cost £4,000 from Alexander McQueen, and featured a red broderie anglaise pattern and buttons down the front.

Carole’s dress is very similar, but in blue, and also features popper buttons down the front.

The neckline on Carole’s dress differed from her daughter’s, with the collar being looser to the one on Kate’s design.

She paired the dress with a navy leather clutch and navy peep toe shoes.

The skirt featured a tiered design, whilst the waistline had a white ribbon to show off Carole’s trim figure.

The dress also featured sleeves which stopped at the elbow and were finished with a white trim to match the waist detail.

Unlike other days the Middleton matriarch has spent at the tennis, Carole did not wear sunglasses.

Carole was joined by husband Michael for her day of tennis, who wore a pair of cream chinos and a navy blue jacket.

Earlier this week, Carole stepped out in a blue floral dress for Wimbledon.

Carole’s dress had a demure round neckline and short sleeves.

Fitted to the waist, the dress then loosened slightly on the bottom half and featured a slight ruffled hem.

Carole paired the dress with a pair of nude block heel sandals and nude leather handbag.

For her first visit to the tennis, Carole wore white, just like the players.

The dress featured a demure round neckline and short sleeves, and came down to Carole’s knee.

She paired the dress with a neutral Chanel quilted handbag and nude peep-toe wedges.

Protecting her eyes from the glare of the sun, Carole wore a pair of round framed sunglasses.
