FIFA 18 Winter Upgrades: When Ratings Refresh goes live, Premier League player updates

FIFA 18 fans are counting down to the annual Winter Upgrades reveal.

Based on last year’s Ratings Refresh, the FIFA 18 Winter Upgrades will gradually roll out towards the end of February.

Last year’s Ratings Refresh began on Friday, February 17 and ended on February 27.

If EA Sports follows a similar pattern, then we could see the Winter Upgrades begin on Friday, February 16.

In the meantime, the FIFA 18 developer has asked fans for feedback on who deserves a ratings upgrade.

“Who do you think deserves a Ratings, Weak Foot or Skill Moves upgrade in FIFA 18?” reads a recent tweet.

The tweet includes a link to a ratings refresh questionnaire. Fans can nominate a player and a new score.

The news comes as EA Sports releases a new update for FIFA 18, which aims to improve gameplay and remove annoying glitches.

Weighing in at around 1GB, the new patch is now available to download on PS4 and Xbox One.

The latest FIFA 18 patch makes it much more difficult to score from kickoff.

The defending team will now be more compact, attackers won’t push forward as aggressively and there will be less space between attacking players and defenders.

Likewise, goalkeepers will no longer unnecessarily clear the ball in certain situations.

EA Sports recently held the FUT Champions Cup in Barcelona.

It was good news for the UK, as 16-year-old Donovan “DhTekKz” Hunt won the competition.

Despite being the 55th seed in the competition, the Brit defeated Nicolas “nicolas99fc” Villalba 8-2 on aggregate in the Grand Final.

The top eight competitors on each platform secured a place in the FIFA 18 Global Series Playoffs this June.
