The 59-year-old presented the ITV show alongside Phillip Schofield but left in July 2009 after a 10-year stint.
And now the popular presenter is making her long awaited return to the sofa on today’s show.
But instead of reuniting with Phillip, 55, Fern will be interviewed by Easter hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.
She will be on the daytime programme with her husband Phil Vickery – who is still This Morning’s resident chef – to talk about their new show, Culinary Genius.
As well as discussing ITV’s newest cookery competition, Fern will be able to see her spouse whip up a dish in the studio’s kitchen.
A source close to the show told The Mirror: “It’ll be fantastic to have Fern visit This Morning again, she will have worked with many of the team on and off screen and will be a nice little reunion and chance to catch up.
Fern appeared to confirm the news on Twitter yesterday as she retweeted an Eamonn and Ruth fan page stating her return.
Last year, the mother-of-four said she wouldn’t rule out a reunion with her former co-host Philip on another show.
When asked if she and Phillip would ever work together again, she told Express.co.uk: “Phillip and I did five or six years together and he is an extraordinary force and there’s something between us.
“It was a great relationship and I really enjoyed it. Would we want to recreate that? I don’t know! It’s had it’s time. I don’t know, let’s see. Never say never!”
As well as This Morning, Fern co-hosted The British Soap Awards from 2006 to 2008 with Phillip and the pair also presented a revival of the ITV show Mr & Mrs between 2008 and 2010.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10.30am on ITV.
