Female Doctor Who: James Bond, Darth Vader and Harry Potter tipped for next gender swap

A spokesman for the bookies said: “Judging by the mixed reaction to the Doctor Who news, some people clearly need a Tardis to get back to 2017.

“My tip is Star Wars. I can see Darth Vader saying ‘I am your mother’ now.”

Of course gender swaps have happened in franchise reboots before, with last year’s all-female Ghostbusters and Judi Dench’s M in Bond movie Goldeneye and beyond.
