Tonight’s Eurovision Song Contest saw 26 countries compete against one another for the chance to be crowned champion.
The competition was close between Israel, Austria, Sweden, Germany and Cyprus.
But it was Israel that were triumphant with 529 points.
Cyprus followed in second place.
The Grand Final came after 36 countries competed in the semi-finals, which took place on May 8 and May 10.
The “big five”, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and UK all automatically qualified for the final as they made the biggest financial contribution to the competition.
Tomight’s show was not without drama.
The UK entry SuRie was left shocked when a stage invader ran onto the stage and snatched her microphone.
The man, who was identified as Dr A.C, was quickly dragged off and is now said to be in police custody.
SuRie chose not to perform for a second time after the incident.
Ahead of the final, bookmakers revealed that Cyprus’ act Eleni Foureira was the favourite to win.
Bookies believes she would be the most popular of the night and Coral slated her odds of winning at just 11-10.
A spokesperson for the bookmakers, John Hill, told Express.co.uk: “There has been a huge gamble behind Cyprus winning Eurovision for a number of weeks and support behind Eleni Foureira is showing no sign of stopping heading into the final.”
However, global music streaming service Deezer revealed that the most popular song of the year was France’s entry Mercy.
The single was performed by real-life couple Emilie Satt and Jean-Karl Lucas, who make up Madame Monsieur.
Deezer’s UK and Ireland Music Editor Adam Read told Express.co.uk: “Music streams are a great way to see which artists the world are rooting for.
“France looks like it is the clear front runner from our data, but we would not be surprised to see Eleni Foureira for Cyprus running away with it tonight.
“The dark horse for us is Bulgaria, their streaming numbers have had a notable increase this week in the run up to the event.
“We’re excited to watch the final and see whether streams can genuinely predict who holds the crown!”
