Eugenie Bouchard, 23, has gained fans around the world for her sporting prowess and stunning good looks.
But fans were left concerned this week after she pulled a muscle in an unlikely spot – her bum.
The Canadian native, known as Genie to her fans, was playing in the Hopman Cup last week, but did not have a successful visit, losing all three of her singles matches.
And she was left concerned after injuring her bottom during a game on Friday.
Speaking after the match, she said: “My a*** hurts. I think it’s maybe a little strained or a little pulled or something.
“There was a really sharp pain. I felt it going wide on my backhand and landing on my serve with my left leg.
“I’m going to the physio now to see what it is. I don’t think it’s too bad but it was getting worse throughout the match.”
Tweeting after the injury, Eugenie revealed she was “icing my butt” to help heal the area.
Fans rushed to offer their support to the star, with one writing: “Poor Genie keep going ! Keep working hard ! Play brave !
“Maybe with a little bit more of ankles and the forehand down the line in a more sidewards position .. and everything will be fine.”
Another wrote: “Awww hope you’re okay Eugenie”.
And one said: “Get well soon”.
Eugenie undergoes an intense fitness regime to get match ready.
She has shared her workout routine with her Instagram followers in the past.
One video shows the professional sports woman carrying out various exercises with resistance bands and medicine balls.
Eugenie wears a white t-shirt and white tennis shorts, finished off with pink trainers.
