Stars including Matt Smith, Emilia Clarke, and John Legend donned their finery to make an appearance at the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles last night.
And, as viewers took a look at which celebrities were in attendance, some were left delighted after they spotted a very familiar face.
Konnie Huq is known by many for being a Blue Peter stalwart – after she gained the title of the longest-serving female presenter of the children’s TV show, between December 1997 and January 2008.
But last night, the star was spotted spending time stateside, as she stepped out for the prestigious awards ceremony.
The TV presenter and her husband Charlie Brooker, who she married back in 2010, posed for a series of snaps together at the event.
During the ceremony, the 47-year-old humorist and screenwriter, who is the creator of the anthology series Black Mirror, took to the stage to accept an award.
Charlie and his colleague William Bridges beamed as they delivered a speech to mark winning the Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series or Movie, or Dramatic Special gong.
Showing their gratitude to their wives for their support, Charlie announced: “My wife, I have to thank my wife Konnie down there.”
While William thanked his own wife, adding: “And Jules.”
Fans rushed to share their excitement about her appearance at the event, with one Twitter user exclaiming: “KONNIE HUQ AT THE EMMYS.”
Another swooned: “Charlie Brooker is married to Konnie Huq. The more you know. #Emmys.”
“Konnie Huq on NBC is a nice sight. A long way from Milkshake,” wrote a third, who remembered the star from her days before Blue Peter.
A fourth fan tweeted: “Never not down for more Konnie Huq on my screen. #bluepeterbaby.”
Elsewhere at the Emmy Awards 2018, Benedict Cumberbatch, 42, was spotted stepping out with his wife Sophie Hunter, 40.
The Sherlock actor, who was a nominee for the Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie category, donned a dark blue suit for the occasion.
Meanwhile, the avant-garde theatre and opera director donned a vibrant yellow dress which featured a high neckline and fell to the floor.
The playwright and former performer kept her accessories to a minimum – embellishing the look with just a sparkling green ring and matching drop earrings.
The pair looked more than at home in front of the cameras as they posed for some pictures together on the gold carpet.
Offering soft closed-mouth smiles, they wrapped their arms around one another.
