In a preview clip for tonight’s show, the police will return a few items to Lachlan (played by Thomas Atkinson) that were recovered from the wreckage after the White family got into a terrible car crash.
At The Woolpack, Lachlan searches through a parcel which contains his family’s belongings before his on-off girlfriend Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) arrives at the pub and asks him what he is up to.
Responding to Belle, he said: “The police brought back some stuff they recovered from the crash. At least I got my phone back.”
“Well you should look through it for pictures of Chrissie (Louise Marwood) and Lawrence (John Bowe) we still need some for the order of service but I can do it if you want?” Belle replies.
As Lachlan looks down at his mobile, he tells her: “That’s fine there’s not going to be much on it anyway.”
Suddenly, a puzzled expression sweeps across his face as he stares at his phone before he quickly gets up from his seat and rushes out of the pub.
A confused Belle tries to find out what is wrong with him but he doesn’t say much and storms out of the pub with his jacket and phone in hand.
What will Lachlan find on his mobile that has him so unsettled? And will he tell Belle what it is that he is hiding?
Elsewhere on Emmerdale, Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) is set to discover that her husband David (Matthew Wolfenden) has been having an affair with his ex Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi).
David and Leyla were on a saucy fling in Mykonos – but he told his wife he was at a grocery convention.
The Metcalfes go on a trip to Paris and when they return, it’s time for David to go to another one of his “conventions”.
But David loses his phone and has to leave without it as he struggles to locate the device.
Tracy eventually finds the phone and is completely horrified to discover a text from Leyla.
She is ready to confront her husband but is interrupted by handyman Phill (Ryan Hayes), so instead the flirtatious shop worker asks him out for a drink.
A few pints later and the pair start to get close but it’s down to Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) to pull Tracy away before she does something she regrets.
When she gets home, she demands answers from David, but will she like what she hears?
