Emmerdale viewers saw Nate Robinson (played by Jurell Carter) arrive in the village last week and take up the farmhand position at Butler’s farm.
He was first seen in the soap a couple of weeks ago when he kissed Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) in the club during the Big Night Out episode.
More recently, scenes saw him involved in an awkward run in in the Woolpack with Rhona, where he told Pete Barton (Anthony Quinlan) about their rendezvous on the dance floor.
Nevertheless, it seems Nate is going to be sticking around for a while and the actor who plays him has spoken out about how his appearance is going to impact the other villagers.
During a conversation with The Mirror, he revealed whether or not a future romance with the vet was on the cards.
He said: “No, because I think for me, Nate is a very loyal character. I think if he knew she [Rhona] was already taken for, he wouldn’t have gone there.
“So I think knowing that she’s in a relationship calls if off straight away. I don’t think he would pursue it, no.”
As for whether or not he will be involved with anyone, Jurell teased his character being linked with an alternative older woman.
“There’s a few women, he definitely does like the ladies,” the actor explained.
“For me, he likes the older ladies but he likes the ones around his aged as well, so I don’t think he’s just for older women. So everyone!”
Whether or not Rhona and Pete can move past her brief infidelity, viewers will have to tune in to tonight’s episode to see the next development.
Meanwhile, there is the suggestion that Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) could go head to head with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).
It comes after Will arrived in the Dales last month with the hope of tormenting Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton).
But with daughter Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) working with him, there is the chance her conscience will get the better of her and she will reveal what has been going on to the vicar.
Therefore, Harriet could confide in ex-Cain and he could make it his duty to make Will pay for what he’s put her through.
Elsewhere in the village, Victoria Sugden (Isobel Hodgins) is still struggling to come to terms with the sexual assault she experienced.
Last night, in extremely difficult scenes, Victoria’s flashback aired and viewers saw Lee (Kris Mochrie) attack and rape her.
Following the traumatic ordeal, she has been hiding away in her house, that is until Moira Barton (Natalie J. Robb) bursts in.
Official soap spoilers have revealed how the farm owner will get Victoria to open up to her, but will she be able to convince her to go to the police?
