Emmerdale viewers have been demanding the soap to end the grooming storyline between Maya Stepney (played by Louisa Clein) and Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) for weeks.
And it seems the plot could come to a halt and make a dramatic change in direction as one fan predicts.
It comes after Maya suffered a terrible fall earlier in the week, leaving her hospitalised and Jacob worrying about their future together.
But scenes showed the teenager confess his love for his school teacher after finally giving in to her manipulating ways.
However, it is only a matter of time until Maya oversteps the mark and interferes in Jacob’s relationship with Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele).
Fans saw a darker side to Jacob when he turned on Maya and threatened her to leave him alone.
Nevertheless, when this situation happens again, will Maya make a drastic effort to stay in his life?
“This grooming storyline is vile on #Emmerdale is she going to turn into a stalker?” One fan suggested on Twitter.
Another added: “#Emmerdale anyone else think mad Maya the school teacher is going to become Jacob’s creepy stalker?”
Maya’s behaviour this week suggests she has the ability to turn into a predator watching Jacob from afar.
“There is something I need to tell you. It’s about Cain Dingle,” she explained.
Previous to this, she told Graham in a roundabout way how much she was willing to protect him from Cain’s criminal ways.
Does this mean she she has dropped Cain in it? Or is this just the beginning of her probing further into Graham’s involvement with Joe going missing?
It comes after yesterday’s episode where both Graham and Cain dropped a huge clue in relation to Joe potentially being alive.
During a conversation with the police both men said Joe “walked away” from the scene at Home Farm.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV.
