Rebecca (played by Emily Head) had been lying in a coma for several weeks following the tragic car crash which killed her sister Chrissie (Louise Marwood) and father Lawrence.
However, now that Rebecca is out of her coma, it could trigger the end of Lachlan White’s (Thomas Atkinson) time in the soap.
The truth about Chrissie and Lawrence’s deaths will finally be unveiled.
Fearful of the truth that may be exposed, Lachlan even contemplated killing Rebecca in order to protect himself.
Relieved to find out that she appears to have no memory of him causing the crash, he will believe he is safe.
Fans of the show also saw Rebecca’s nephew Lachlan discover that his grandfather and mother were not as rich as he had believed.
His lawyer revealed that he could expect to inherit around £400,000 and an allowance until his 21st birthday.
He then found out that if his aunt did not pull through, her son Seb’s money would go to Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley).
Lachlan was far from impressed but Robert insisted that he would be there for the pair if anything happened to Rebecca.
Throwing Lachlan back into panic, Rebecca will later reveal that she “knows what he did” and begin screaming at him.
Hoping to calm her down, Lachlan will attempt to make her believe that her memory is wrong.
Discharging herself from hospital, Rebecca will head to Home Farm, which is now owned by Joseph Tate.
Hoping to trigger memories from the crash, Lachlan will soon appear on the scene, with Robert trying to entice her back to hospital.
The latest instalment also saw Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) trying to take revenge on Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) after he chose to reunite with Moira Barton (Natalie J. Robb).
She could be seen drowning her sorrows in The Woolpack after a run in with the village bad boy.
Cain’s former flame Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) then offered her some advice on how to overcome her heartache.
The pair headed outside and planned to throw a rock threw Cain’s car window but the vicar accidentally hit the bishop’s car.
As she fled the scene, Charity pointed the finger at Cain as she hinted he’d been hanging around nearby.
