Of course, Debbie Dingle (played by Charley Webb) was the Emmerdale villain behind the horror, which may leave Ross (Michael Parr) scarred for life.
Simon initially planned to hurl the corrosive substance at Joseph (Ned Porteous) but got the wrong guy.
Joe rumbled Debbie last week and is now blackmailing his ex-girlfreind in exchange for her silence.
However, during last night’s instalment, Joe started pointing the finger at Graham (Andrew Scarborough) after his right-hand man was spotted with Ross’s attacker.
In turn, Joe flipped out, before Graham gave him some home truths.
“Do you ever stop to think how it all got to this?” Graham began. “Why someone would pay for someone to hurt you so badly?
“So what now? Report [Debbie] to the police? Ruin her life and her kids’ lives?”
He continued: “Debbie loved you, and you love her too, and this is where you both are.
“Good work, Joe.”
Naturally, viewers backed Graham in their droves and continued to turn on Joe with buckets of venom.
“Joe you’re a beautiful beautiful man but I need you to stop acting like a baby and stop verbally abusing Graham,” snapped one audience member.
Another yelled: “Tell him Graham! #brilliant.”
“Not agreeing to what Joe is doing at all..Graham is better away from him #Emmerdale,” a third wrote.
One more agreed: “Just love Graham..He’s speaking truth.”
Also in last night’s Emmerdale, viewers were left heartbroken as Debbie told Ross she didn’t love him.
Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV.
