The ITV soap took the drama down a notch following the horrifying events of last week, but that didn’t stop viewers from being shocked at an awkward technical gaffe.
During a scene between Jai (played by Chris Bisson) and Rishi (Bhasker Patel), some eagle-eyed viewers spotted the tell-tale appearance of a badly-placed boom microphone.
The mistake occurred just as Jai and Rishi confronted Lydia Hart (Karen Blick) over the disappearance of Jai’s cleaner Una.
Burdened by the truth that she’d fabricated a friend so she would get paid an extra wage for her job at the sweet factory, Lydia attempted to hide from the men.
Despite the drama however, many viewers were only interested in the error they’d just witnessed.
One fan posted: “#Emmerdale isn’t real, just saw a microphone above Jai’s head #fake.”
“Looooool mic above Jai’s head,” another person said.
A third then wrote bluntly: “Faux pas #Emmerdale.”
Meanwhile, Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) finally revealed the truth about her baby’s paternity.
Following a heartbreaking week for the Barton family that saw matriarch Emma (Gillian Kearney) and her son Finn (Joe Gill) killed, Pete’s (Anthony Quinlan) pain was increased when Moira came clean that her newborn child wasn’t actually his.
Will Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Moira get another chance at happiness now they have a baby together, or will the pair forever be at odds?
