At the beginning of next week, Rhona (played by Zoe Henry) is fuming after she overhears residents in the Woolpack discussing Pierce’s (Jonathan Wrather) arrest.
And she soon becomes upset with all the gossiping as she hears people talking highly of her husband.
Fed up with the situation, Rhona reveals to the villagers that Pierce raped her leaving them all in total shock and feeling guilty.
Last week, Rhona identified Pierce has her attacker to the police but he later lied through his teeth as he was questioned by police.
The crafty lawyer said on their wedding night they had had consensual sex and that any other suggestions were untrue, telling the police: “She was off her face, high as a kite.”
Pierce was soon freed by the police although he was told he couldn’t go anywhere near the village.
However in upcoming scenes, Rhona becomes increasingly paranoid that Pierce is back and has entered the house.
She is horrified at this thought and confides in Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) who drives to Pierce’s office, but what will he do?
The torment doesn’t end there for the mother-of-one as later in the week, she goes downstairs to find empty blister packs on her table and the front door wide open.
As she panics and runs out to find her son Leo, she comes across Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and Paddy.
The pair spot Rhona holding the blister packs and assume she’s taking drugs again.
She maintains her innocence, but will they believe her?
