Elementary season seven will be the last ever run of the hit CBS and Sky Witness mystery drama and a number of its long-serving cast return for it. Led by Sherlock Holmes (played by Johnny Lee Miller), the cast of Elementary play a number of characters inspired by the famous Arthur Conan Doyle books. Who is in the cast of Elementary season seven?
Sherlock Holmes – Johnny Lee Miller
Miller returns to play the lead role in Elementary in season seven having starred in every episode of the CBS drama to date.
Sherlock Holmes is a character whose detective powers are evident for all to see as he solves a number of tricky crimes in present-day New York City.
CBS viewers are no stranger to seeing Miller play dramatic roles on-screen.
Miller’s CV includes parts in Showtime series Dexter, the title role in ABC’s Eli Stone and hard-hitting movie Trainspotting.

Dr Joan Watson – Lucy Liu
Liu reprised the role of Sherlock’s sidekick Dr Watson for the seventh and final series of Elementary.
Like Miller, Liu has starred in every episode of Elementary so far.
Prior to starring in Elementary season seven, Liu impress in some of Hollywood’s biggest box office hits such as Kill Bill: Volume One, Charlie’s Angels and Chicago.
Detective Marcus Bell – Jon Michael Hill
Elementary’s resident NYPD detective Marcus Bell returns in season seven.
Fans have watched throughout the CBS series so far as he works with Sherlock and Watson at a number of different crime scenes.
Before landing the recurring role on Elementary, Hill’s biggest roles came in HBO comedy Eastbound and Down and ABC drama Detroit 1-8-7.
DCI Athelney Jones – Tamsin Greig
With the final series taking place in London a number of British actors will guest star, Greig included.
Greig plays DCI Athelney Jones in season seven of Elementary as Holmes and Watson’s investigations take them across the pond.
The actress is well known for her time on Channel 4 comedies Green Wing and Black Books.
Kitty Winter – Ophelia Lovibond
After making a handful appearance in seasons three and five of Elementary, Lovibond returns once again to play Kitty Winter.
The actress impressed on BBC comedy W1A prior to landing the role on the CBS drama.
Lovibond’s CV also includes parts in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and the Elton John biopic Rocketman.

Captain Thomas Gregson – Aidan Quinn
Quinn, like Miller, Hill and Liu, also makes a comeback for his seventh season on the show.
The actor will play Captain Thomas Gregson once again – Detective Bell’s boss and the man in charge of the police department.
Elementary fans will recognise the Emmy-nominated actor for his parts in NBC crime thriller Prime Suspect and The Book of Daniel.
