Ed Sheehan, 26, has released three albums since 2011 and his latest album, Divide, sold 232,000 more copies in its first day than any other album in 2016. 

The singer-songwriter’s kickstarted his music career by moving to London in 2008. 

In 2011, his extended independent play titled No. 5 Collaborations Project was released. 

After signing with Asylum records he then released his first album in 2011.

The album contains the single ‘The A Team’ which earned him the Ivor Novello Awards for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. 

Just a year later he won Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. 

Ed’s popularity abroad began in 2012 where he made a guest appearance on Taylor Swift’s fourth studio album and performed with Elton John at the 2013 Grammy Awards. 

His three albums ÷, x, and + have all had numerous top ten hits. 

With his latest album, all 16 tracks made the top 20 at the same time in March this year.

According to The Richest, Ed has a whopping $ 68million (£51.5million) stashed away. 

Last year, Ed took a break from music, but despite having 12 months off her raked in a huge £45,700 a day – he earns £17.2million in sales for his company then paid himself £15.5million – according to Bizarre editor Dan Wootton. 

The singer-songwriter hit the Christmas number one 2017 spot after releasing six versions of his single, including duets with Beyonce and Andrea Bocelli. 

Another English singer, Louise Redknapp, 42, has learnt her fair share of cash over the years. 

She recently enjoyed a boost to her public profile thanks to her stint on Strictly Come Dancing and her subsequent split from her footballer husband Jamie Redknapp.
