A mystery man, who goes by the name Bijan, is reportedly set to make his arrival in Albert Square very soon.
EastEnders will centre a new and enigmatic storyline next week around the unknown man when he makes his debut in Walford, according to new reports.
Although the popular BBC soap has not released detailed information about the new arrival, it is believed Bijan will snoop around the Square shortly after arriving.
It’s said Bijan will be in hot pursuit of information, however, it is unclear exactly what he is digging for and the person he is visiting.
Until then, fans are going to have to wait and see who Bijan is and what he is after, as well as who he is planning to meet in the Square.
Could Bijan be in Walford to see one of the newer families, like the Taylors or Ahmeds?
Or, is he a lone wolf with a relation to a familiar face who has recently returned to Albert Square, such as Mel Owen, Kat Slater or Tiff Butcher?
Meanwhile, things got steamy between Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and ex-lover Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) earlier this week, with the pair sharing a passionate kiss at the E20 office.
However, their exchange was not as innocent as some might have thought, as after Mel seduced Phil she revealed that she had staged the whole thing to blackmail him.
A furious Phil had lost his temper earlier on in the episode after seeing Hunter Owen (Charlie Winter) sleep with his daughter Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper) on CCTV.
While Hunter intended for Phill to see the tape involving him and Louise inside the E20 club, Louise had absolutely no idea what he was planning.
Hunter wanted to take revenge after learning that Phill did not try to help save his father Steve Owen (Martin Kemp) from a burning car.
Phil’s wife, Sharon (Letitia Dean) insisted he delete the sex tape, as it incriminates 16-year-old Louise for sleeping with an underage Hunter, who is only 15.
Sharon then got Mel involved, sending Hunter’s mother downstairs at E20 to speak to Phil about the situation.
Once left alone, Mel charmed Phil, which lead to them smooching.
However, a cunning Mel had recorded them and is now using it as part of a blackmail plot to stop Phil going after Hunter.
Mel threatened to show their kiss to Sharon if he didn’t leave Hunter alone.
Viewers took to social media following the broadcast, with many commenting on the Phil’s frisky behaviour during his encounter with Mel.
One tweeted: “Phil and Mel…put me off my crumpets #EastEnders.”
Another added: “Seeing Phil Mitchell seductively rubbing his crotch with a tea towel has just made me regurgitate my chicken kiev #Eastenders.”
Express has contacted an EastEnders spokesperson for comment.
EastEnders continues tonight on BBC One at 7.30pm.
