Mick (played by Danny Dyer) was taking part in Aidan’s (Patrick Bergin) heist, but the villain may have really been behind the outcome involving Mick’s possible demise.
As the back door to the van opened, Mick nervously said: “It’s you!” hinting that he knew his attacker.
But who is the man who pointed the gun and seemingly killed Mick in front of his wife Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and mother Shirley (Linda Henry)?
The BBC soap has yet to reveal Mick’s connection and history, but the actor playing the gunman has not appeared on-screen in the soap before.
Credited at the end of the episode as Callum ‘Halfway’ Highway, the character was played by Tony Clay.
Loyal fans of the show posted on social media about a friend of Lee Carter’s (Danny-Boy Hatchard) known as “Halfway” who previously text Mick.
Could this be the connection, or just coincidence? Could Lee be involved too?
Viewers won’t have long to wait as all is due to be revealed in tomorrow’s episode.
Actor Tony took to Twitter to post: “In case you missed it!! Very excited to be a part of #Eastenders & stay tuned!! X.”
EastEnders continues tomorrow on BBC One at 7pm.
