The soap villain (played by Jake Wood) has been keeping a close eye on Jane (Laurie Brett) as she lies in a comatose state after Steven Beale’s (Aaron Sidwell) failed attempt to kill her.
In scenes set to air next week, Max will manage to get Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and his family out of the way so that he will be there the moment Jane wakes up and find out what she really knows.
The images show him handing her a glass containing a clear liquid and watching as she takes a sip, however evil Max may have put something in her drink.
Is Max going to poison Jane to make sure she stays quiet forever?
He has already tried to end her life already after he squeezed her oxygen tubes and suffocate her.
Other images show Max looking terrified as he waits on tenterhooks to find out how much Jane really does know.
He has been hovering in the background near her hospital bed with the hopes of getting to her before anyone else does.
The evil businessman is planning an elaborate revenge plot against the Beales after he was wrongly sent to prison for the murder of Lucy Beale (Hetti Bywater).
Bobby Beale (Eliot Carrington) was revealed to be the killed but his parents hid the truth and Max went to jail for the crime.
It was recently revealed that Max was working alongside Fi Browning (Lisa Faulkner) and her father James Willmott-Brown (William Boyde) for the shadowy firm Weyland and Co.
Max and James are slowly planning to take over Walford bit by bit as part of the scheme to wreck vengeance on those who have wronged them.
James also believes his life was destroyed by Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) after she made a rape allegation against him which saw him incarcerated even though he protests his innocence.
EastEnders continues on BBC One tomorrow at 8pm.
