In tonight’s dramatic EastEnders Boxing Day episode, Kat (played by Jessie Wallace) will attack Hayley (Katie Jarvis).
Last night’s festive instalment saw Kat learn her estranged husband Alfie (Shane Richie) was Cherry’s father.
After Stacey (Lacey Turner) caught Alfie and Hayley kissing, their secret was out.
Hayley became overwhelmed as Kat and Alfie argued with one another about the affair.
Unable to deal with the bickering any longer, she snapped and pushed Alfie down the stairs.
Fans have been left worried Alfie has been killed and Kat believes he is dead.
Shocked by Hayley’s actions, she explodes and attacks the new mum.
In scenes set to air tonight, she can be seen putting her hands around Hayley’s neck and it’s clear she wants revenge.
Will Hayley survive their heated altercation?
Speaking ahead of the episode, actress Jessie said: “Obviously Kat is going to find out and she reacts in the way only Kat can react. She goes crazy.
“In the heat of the moment, Kat reacts as you’d expect. She’s so angry and upset, there’s this whole whirlwind of emotions that she’s going through and she just doesn’t care.
“There’s no vision, Kat’s just so angry and betrayed.”
Opening up about being reunited with co-star Shane for the scenes, she added: “I love Shane, we’re like soulmates, he’s like my brother.
“I love him so, so much and when he wasn’t here I missed him like crazy.
“Kat and Alfie have been together for 17 years so yes, it’s been amazing.”
Meanwhile, there is the question of what will happen to baby Cherry.
Hayley has been struggling to bond with the little one whereas Alfie is smitten with his daughter.
If Alfie does survive his fall could the pair be locked in a tense custody battle?
Or, will the Slater clan rally around Hayley and protect her if Alfie is dead?
EastEnders continues on Boxing Day at 8.30pm on BBC One.
