EastEnders spoilers: Karen Baker and Keanu Taylor tease MAJOR DEATHS amid gas explosion

The curious Baker and Taylor family were seen to nosily keep an eye on Albert Square as protestors emerged to barrage the mayor – but were they caught up in the commotion?

Lorraine Stanley, who plays Karen Baker, and Danny Walters, who plays Keanu Taylor, teased at the TV Choice Awards that their characters may be affected by the blast.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Lorraine explained: “It’s all kicking off and it starts tonight. I want to be at home actually!”

Danny said: “I was just saying to Lorraine, I’m a bit gutted that we’re here tonight because it’s going to be an amazing episode and it just has so much more… the thing that happens tonight, the explosion… it’s not so much that it will be the biggest thing.

“It’s the repercussions and everything that happens to the families, to the square and to everyone.

“It’s the stories we tell after this big episode tonight.”

Hinting at further explosive clashes to come, Lorraine teased: “It’s the build up. It’s all a build up!”

Speaking of entering the soap months after on-screen son Keegan Baker (played by Zack Morris) became a regular in Walford, Lorraine added: “It was good to come in with a bang.

“You’re going to see a lot more vulnerabilities coming to the family.”

On whether the pair will be sucked in and affected by Max Branning’s (Jake Wood) evil revenge plot, Lorraine said: “Maybe, maybe!”

Danny wasn’t so sure and laughed: “We don’t know, so who knows? Who knows, you’ll have to keep watching!”

EastEnders continues tonight on BBC One at 7.30pm.
