The teenage son of Mel (played by Tamzin Outhwaite) and Steve (Martin Kemp) is likely to break hearts all over Albert Square when he arrives next week.
Monday will see Hunter (Charlie Winter) make his debut when Mel finds him at his grandmother’s grave.
Mel will be delighted to be reunited with her son after spending the past few weeks wreaking havoc in EastEnders on her own.
Though, Hunter looks like he’s already got his sights set on one lucky lady in the Square.
Hunter and Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper) go way back as Mel is still best friends with Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin).
However, spoiler pictures released this week show Hunter and Louise fawning over reach other as they catch up on old times.
With Louise’s car crash love life overdue a U-turn, could Hunter be her knight in shining armour.
But Hunter will be stifled when he uncovers a pile of his father’s secrets after his mother protected him from the truth for 15 years.
Steve was famously EastEnders’ answer to Tony Soprano until his death in 2002.
Though, Mel appears to have kept his father’s gangster lifestyle from Hunter – until now.
With Steve’s legacy rife in the walls of Albert Square, Mel will be terrified as she faces the repercussions of keeping Hunter’s father’s skeletons in the closet for 15 years.
Hunter’s first scenes are set to air on EastEnders next week, and fans are in for a treat.
Tamzin, 47, only made her reappearance back on the BBC soap this month following October’s announcement, and viewers are still waiting to discover the truth about her shady background.
Now the actress has hinted that the teenager may harbour feelings of ill will towards his mother.
Speaking to TV Times, Tamzin shared: “My own kids are much younger, and we’re idiots and jokers together, whereas a 15-16 year old boy is a very different dynamic.
“He’s resentful and angry – everything that teenagers are. It’s a lot less fun being a mum in EastEnders than it is for me in real life!
“Mel’s walking on eggshells.”
EastEnders continues tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
