Duchess of Cambridge shows off TINY waist in fitted lace dress in Germany

The Duchess, 35, wore a dress that flattered her figure and showed off her tiny waist.

The pretty yellow item was quite conservative, with a high neckline and short sleeves.

The skirt of the dress came out in wide pleats before finishing just below her knee.

Kate paired the heavy brocade number with a pair of grey suede wedges which have been a staple part of her wardrobe for some time.

Kate’s choice bore a striking similarity to an acid yellow dress worn by Ivanka Trump, 35, two days ago.

Both dresses had a heavy lace design in sunshine yellow, and both fitted the women closely at the waist to make the most of their figures.

Ivanka, however, paired her look with a pair of striking blue courts, while the Duchess played it safe with her neutral wedges.

Both women also wore their hair in similar styles – tousled curls worn loose over the shoulders.

Despite today’s conservative look, the Duchess has been trying out a new style recently.

Last night, she stepped out in a sexy red gown by Alexander McQueen for a Queen’s Garden Party in Berlin.

The Duchess chose a tomato red maxi dress for the occasion, flaunting her shoulders thanks to the fashionable cold-shoulder detail.

The dress had an elasticated waist which showed of Kate’s slim figure and the puffed sleeves added a cute detail, and finished at the elbows.

The Duchess has undergone something of a style evolution in recent weeks – and many have wondered what has caused this change in direction.

There has been speculation Kate may be using a new stylist. The Duchess has worked with Natasha Archer since 2014, and this has not been revealed to have changed.

Therefore it would seem together the pair have decided to take Kate’s wardrobe in a new direction.

After five years in the role of Duchess, Kate has obviously grown in confidence, and now no longer feels she must dress ultra-conservatively.
