Duchess of Cambridge MUST always have this outfit packed when travelling abroad

The Duchess, 35, always looks elegant in an array of high street and designer dresses for public appearances.

Prince William, the Duchess and their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte recently completed a royal visit to Poland and Germany.

In Poland, Kate pulled off a white power suit and a floral vintage-inspired frock, while in Germany she donned a red Spanish style dress, a yellow dress which some people believed was inspired by Ivanka Trump’s, and a custom-made lavender number.

Whether or not she packs her suitcase herself, the Duchess always makes sure she has an outfit for every occasion.

For this very reason, there’s always one particular outfit she always makes sure to have when abroad.

But it’s not just the Duchess who has to have the outfit, it’s all members of the royal family.

According to Mamamia, Kate must always have a black outfit packed for every royal tour.

The reason being is they need to be prepared in case a member of the royal family dies.

In such a case, all members of the family are required to wear a mourning outfit, no matter where they are in the world.

In the even the Queen dies, members of the royal family have no choice but to wear black to show heir respect as part of protocol.

When Diana’s father, Lord Spencer, passed away in 1992, the family were away on a ski holiday in the Alps.

But on their return to the UK they were pictured wearing appropriately packed black outfits.

But there have been rare occasions when the royals haven’t been prepared.

When the Queen’s father, George VI, passed away inly 1952, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip were on a Kenyan safari trip.

No one was allowed to photograph them until they were dressed in their mourning outfits.

The Duchess is widely regarded as one of the most fashionable women in the world, and her stylist Natasha Archer can make some credit for this accolade
