The Destiny 2 Weekly Reset time has been set and will be arriving later this week.
And Guardians on PS4, Xbox One and PC won’t have to wait long for the first reset since the Forsaken expansion went live.
Bungie will be resetting Destiny 2 on Tuesday, September 18, at around 6pm in the UK.
For players in the United States, it means a much earlier reset time of 10am PST and 1pm EST.
As usual, the weekly reset will affect various activities in the game, such as:
Progress and rewards connected to Destination Flashpoints, Raid Challenges, Raid Checkpoints, Nightfall Strike, Weekly Clan Engrams, Weekly Clan XP Caps, Eververse Bright Dust and Prismatic Matrix Selections.
There will also be hard resets made to the Spider’s Wanted Bounty line-up, and Xur will disappear again until Friday.
IRON BANNER RETURNS
The new Iron Banner event will kick off following Tuesday’s Weekly Reset, bringing with it new rewards.
For those that don’t know, Iron Banner is a week-long Crucible event in Destiny 2 that offers unique rewards.
This week will see Iron Banner return until September 25 and will offer the chance of playing Control.
This time around, Bungie has enabled power advantages and seven weekly bounties for you to complete.
Each bounty rewards Guardians with an Iron Banner-themed reward, and two of these bounties in particular grant powerful bonuses
Bungie also confirms that “All Iron Banner-themed weapons and armour have the chance to be rewarded when bounties are completed.”
WEEKLY RESET RAID REWARDS
The launch of the new Forsaken expansion has changed the weekly reset a little for fans this week.
As part of the launch of the Last Wish Raid, any player who beats the raid within the first 24 hours will receive the “Wish Ascended” emblem.
And for those who have needed more time than that, any player who beats the Last Wish before 10 AM PDT on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 will have access to a personalised Last Wish raid jacket available for purchase through the Bungie Rewards program.
Players who would like to participate in this offer need to make sure they complete the raid, claim the in-game Triumph, and then claim the code on the Bungie Rewards page BEFORE the weekly reset.
Bungie has confirmed that fans will have until September 30 to use the code to make the purchase.
With the release of Destiny 2: Forsaken, challenges have also become a new avenue for players to acquire big rewards.
The Weekly Challenges will follow the weekly reset each Tuesday, while the Daily Challenges will reset every four days.
So as a recap, the official Destiny 2 weekly reset affects Nightfall Strikes and the ongoing Raid, and also acts as the countdown to complete these tasks.
If you complete them before the reset, you will have to wait until the following Tuesday to start them again and collect new rewards.
This is also when a lot of the game’s milestones get refreshed, which means weekly challenges, destination Flashpoints, call to arms, clan XP and clan XP rewards.
