She starred on Strictly Come Dancing 2017 alongside professional dance partner Giovanni Bernice, and the pair reached the final before being beaten by Joe McFadden dancing with Katya Jones.

She is also a former ballet dancer, and was once artistic director of a ballet company she owned as well as dancing herself in the Iranian National Ballet Company in Tehran.

She became the first female member of British professional magician circle The Magic Circle in 1991, and in 2017 won the Magic Circle’s Maskelyne Award.

Debbie was born in Kingston upon Thames in 1958 to parents Patrick McGee and Lillian Howes, and her parents had their own corner shop while she was young.
